The Journey
Day 1: Arrival & Fort Portal.
Depart Kampala for the lush landscapes of Fort Portal. Afternoon relaxation overlooking the crater lakes.
Day 2: Chimpanzees of Kibale.
Morning chimp trekking in Kibale National Park. Afternoon transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an evening game drive on the Kasenyi plains.
Day 3: Predators & The Kazinga Channel.
Early morning predator tracking. After lunch, take a private boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, gliding past hundreds of hippos and elephants bathing at the shore.
Day 4: The Tree-Climbing Lions.
Journey south to the remote Ishasha sector of the park. Spend the day searching the massive fig trees for the famous tree-climbing lions.
Day 5: Into the Impenetrable Forest.
Drive through the rolling hills to the edges of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Rest and prepare for the trek ahead.
Day 6: The Gorilla Encounter.
Enter the ancient rainforest for a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with the mountain gorillas. Spend the afternoon recounting the experience at your lodge.
Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi.
Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a day of absolute tranquility. Enjoy a motorized canoe ride and a sunset dinner.
Day 8: The Return.
Journey back to Entebbe, stopping at the Equator, arriving in time for your outbound flight.
