5-Day Kidepo Valley Untamed Wilderness

The Journey

Day 1: The Long Road North.

Depart early for the rugged, dramatic landscapes of Northern Uganda. Arrive in Kidepo Valley National Park—consistently voted one of Africa's most breathtaking and untouched wilderness reserves.

Day 2: The Narus Valley Oasis.

Spend the day exploring the Narus Valley, the park's primary water source. Expect to witness massive herds of Buffalo, Elephants, Giraffes, and high chances of spotting Cheetahs and Lions resting on the rocky outcrops (kopjes).

Day 3: The Hot Springs & Ostrich Plains.

Venture toward the Kidepo River and the Kanangorok Hot Springs. This arid, sweeping landscape crosses into the South Sudanese border region and is the only place in Uganda to spot the native Ostrich and Secretary Bird.

Day 4: The Warrior Nomads.

In the morning, visit the indigenous Karamojong people, a fiercely proud semi-nomadic warrior tribe. Learn about their unique architecture (Manyattas), cattle-herding culture, and traditional dances. Enjoy an evening sundowner back at the lodge.

Day 5: Departure.

After a final sunrise over the rugged Morungole Mountains, begin the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.
