4-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking & Lake Bunyonyi Retreat

Day 1: The Journey to the Highlands.

Depart Kampala or Entebbe and travel southwest through a landscape of rolling hills and vibrant local markets. We make a stop at the Equator crossing for photography and a bespoke lunch in Mbarara. As we ascend into the Kigezi Highlands—often called the "Switzerland of Africa"—the air cools. Arrive at your luxury lodge on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for dinner and rest.

Day 2: The Encounter with Giants.

Following an early breakfast and a detailed briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, you will enter the dense jungle canopy. The trek to find the mountain gorillas can take between 2 to 6 hours. Once located, you will spend one transformative, silent hour observing a silverback and his family in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, engage in a sincere cultural exchange with the indigenous Batwa community.

Day 3: The Lake of Many Little Birds.

After breakfast, we take a short scenic drive to Lake Bunyonyi, Africa's second-deepest lake, dotted with 29 magical islands. Enjoy a motorized canoe ride to explore the surrounding terraced hills and historical islands. The afternoon is yours to relax by the serene, bilharzia-free waters.

Day 4: Return to the Capital.

Enjoy a relaxed lakeside breakfast before we begin our journey back to Entebbe for your outbound flight, carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
