3-Day Kibale Primate & Crater Lakes Expedition

The Journey
Day 1: Into the Shadow of the Rwenzoris.
Drive westward to Fort Portal, a lush, green town sitting in the shadow of the legendary "Mountains of the Moon." After a tailored lunch, visit the mythical Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves and hike up to the breathtaking Ndali-Kasenda crater lakes for panoramic views of the rift valley.
Day 2: The Primate Capital of the World.
Enter Kibale National Park early in the morning. Guided by expert trackers, you will listen for the echoing hoots of Chimpanzees in the canopy before coming face-to-face with our closest genetic relatives. In the afternoon, embark on a guided nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run initiative that is a paradise for birders and home to eight other primate species.
Day 3: Through the Tea Estates.
Enjoy breakfast overlooking the dense forest canopy before embarking on a scenic drive back to Kampala, passing through rolling, emerald-green tea plantations.
